AboutBarry Siff

Following a very successful big business career, and first retiring at age 42 in 1998, I have spent the past 20 years playing in the world of sport ... a world I love. From being a collegiate tennis player, to my first marathon in 1981, first Ironman in 1988, first expedition race in 1998, and first 100-mile run in 1999 ... I have always loved the challenges of being fit and achieving goals. In the past eight or so years, I have taken that into being a leader in sport - presently being President of the USA Triathlon Board of Directors, sitting on the CAMTRI (Americas Triathlon Federation Board), and being on the highest level Executive Board in the sport of triathlon, the International Triathlon Union. I am also a recognized Sports Envoy for the U.S. State Department.

In my early years of retirement my love of writing had me writing for multisport magazines all over the world on a regular basis, as well as co-authoring two sports related books, most notable “Adventure Racing: The Ultimate Guide.” My impetus for this blog site is once again allow me to pursue my passion for writing, while providing insights into the multisport lifestyle training, racing, nutrition, travel, and also leading life in a positive, meaningful direction. Hope you enjoy it.
